Mr. Padding is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults experiencing difficulties due to the trauma of sexual victimization and domestic violence. Mr. Padding has worked extensively within the Kent County Family Court system and various area agencies in addressing safety and advocacy issues for children and families. Additional areas of clinical expertise include anxiety and panic disorder, marriage counseling and working with divorced parents in establishing an effective co-parenting plan for the children. He is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (level 2), in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, and other anxiety related disorders. He has served as a consultant with several area churches in the development and implementation of child protection policies, as well as co-facilitated a grief recovery support group for the past 6 years. Mr. Padding has provided individual, family, and marital counseling services with children, adolescents, and adults for the past 18 years in the Grand Rapids area.
